Hiring Range: Salary will be $793 to $1,463 per credit hour for didactic teaching, or $44-$46 per hour for lab or clinical instruction, commensurate with education and experience.

Rappahannock Community College (RCC), founded in 1970, provides high-quality educational and training opportunities throughout a 12-county service region an hour east of Richmond on the beautiful western shore of the Chesapeake Bay with access to fresh local seafood and water activities. RCC delivers accessible and affordable educational opportunities, including for-credit transfer and career technical programs, robust distance education coursework, quality dual enrollment courses, and award-winning workforce training and credentialing programs. RCC’s annualized enrollment of 3,700 credit students in 2024-2025 and almost 800 workforce and community development students are supported by almost 140 full-time employees and over 200 part-time/adjunct employees across two main campuses and five satellite sites.
Nursing faculty work across programs to provide for the educational needs of students. Adjunct instructors are invited and encouraged to participate in the governance of the nursing unit.

RCC invites you to apply for an Adjunct Nursing Instructor position at our Glenns and Warsaw campuses and our remote clinical agencies to provide classroom, or laboratory and clinical supervision for all levels of nursing students. Several part-time opportunities are available, including:
- Nursing Didactic Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program
- Nursing Laboratory/Clinical Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program
- Nursing Didactic/Laboratory/Clinical Instructors (s) for the Practical Nursing (PN) program
Nursing faculty work across programs to provide for the educational needs of students. Adjunct instructors are invited and encouraged to participate in the governance of the nursing unit.

Minimum requirements: Master's degree in Nursing, or hold a baccalaureate degree and be actively enrolled in a graduate program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.
Nursing Laboratory/Clinical Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program:
Minimum requirements: Baccalaureate degree or hold an associate degree and be actively enrolled in a baccalaureate program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.
Minimum requirements: Master's degree in Nursing, or hold a baccalaureate degree and be actively enrolled in a graduate program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.
Nursing Laboratory/Clinical Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program:
Minimum requirements: Baccalaureate degree or hold an associate degree and be actively enrolled in a baccalaureate program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.
Nursing Didactic/Laboratory/Clinical Instructors (s) for the Practical Nursing (PN) program:
Minimum requirements: Baccalaureate degree in nursing, or hold an associate degree and be actively enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program. RN license with two years of direct client care experience.

Nursing Laboratory/Clinical Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program:
Preferred requirements: Critical Care, Maternal-Child Nursing, Pediatric Nursing and/or Mental Health Nursing experience desirable in addition to medical/surgical experience. At least one year of experience teaching pre-licensure education preferred. Must possess a strong desire to teach adult learners.
